These are my custom Firefly action figures!

I don't usually make toys based on other people's characters but I like Firefly, and toy rules were made to be broken.

When I started this group a few months ago I had a few guiding concepts, namely that they had to be Mego Type-2 bodies, and I had to do the whole crew. I knew that I could never match the faces of the actors with available heads (and I wasn't about to sculpt them all) so I sort of squinted at each character and found the big lines rather than the details.

I built almost all of them with parts I had on hand, although I did send Book's head out to be flocked. I have a few more characters in the works, notably Agent Dobson, Badger, and a pair of the Blue Hand Guys. I'm still working on all of these toys, and I really need to find a good River.
